Happy Thursday! I’m having a hard time focusing on studying so between studying I’m listening to my favorite podcast and Selena Gomez’s new song “Bad Liar” and packing up all my stuff. 😥 The last 3 weeks I’ve been mostly studying with a sprinkling of fun in-between. My last exam is Friday and then I’m jetting off to Nice to kick off summer.
Here’s a recap of the ~fun stuff~
May 3 – Drinks and tapas at Pyg.
May 4 – Not necessarily fun but I presented the research project I’ve been working on all semester
May 5 and 6 – Margaret’s grandparents were in Dublin so they took us out to dinner Friday and Saturday night. We went to Arthur’s one night and Darkey Kelley’s the other night. We definitely gave them a taste of Dublin pubs and Irish music.
May 7 – Study break on campus. The weather has been incredible and campus has students on it on a weekend for the first time all semester!
May 11 – Not fun but this is what exams look like. It takes almost an hour to get to the exam location and then you take your exam in a warehouse with 1999 other students.
May 12 – Bailed on studying for the night and went to the Guinness Open Gate Brewery for the night. It’s Guinness’ experimental brewery. You have to buy tickets ahead of time (€6) and entrance gets you a 4 beer flight. They have 8 different beers on tap at all times and you build your own flight. I went for the Ginger Pride Ale, IPA 4 – Pretty Citrusy, Oatmeal Stout, and the Deep Purple Blackcurrant Sour. You can order more beer after your flight and food as well. We’re disappointed we didn’t know about this the whole semester – better late than never!
May 14 – Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there especially mine! A few friends and I went for brunch in honor of all our moms. We walked back through the city and I can’t even believe how gorgeous the weather has been. It’s making it impossible to focus.
Can’t believe I leave Dublin on Saturday. Time really flies.
